How to set up a pickup truck tent
Below are instructions to set up the Camp-Right
truck tent. All truck tents follow the same
principle, so you will get the idea. Any tent
you order will include complete instructions with
diagrams.
1. With
the tailgate down, place the tent in the truck bed with screen mesh
facing up. Position the door at the back, and cab access sleeve in
front. Slip the tailgate pocket and strap (material under the door) over
the tailgate.
2. Loosely attach inside green
& red straps to your truck bed tie down points ( cleats ) inside bottom
corners of the bed. Notice there are two
straps for each corner cleat (8 total). If
your truck bed does not have tie down points/cleats inside the bed, get
inside erected truck tent and attach the front most two inside straps (right
and left) together and snug the straps so they pull the tent sides
inward. Run the back most
inner straps (right and left side) through the slot between the bed and
tailgate and attach to the rear bumper and snug them using the adjustor.
If you use this configuration, you will only use four of eight straps
(furthest out in each corner). Once
you adjust the tent straps to your truck, next set up will be a breeze!

3. Attach
the black outside side strap clips to the bottom of the truck and
snug up the straps.

4.
Run all 4 poles thru the pole sleeves matching the color code pockets to
the same color tent poles. Insert the pole ends into the pockets while raising the tent.
First the two center crossing poles and then the front and
back poles. As you raise
the truck tent, make sure tent pole sleeves slide evenly over the poles. Do not force this process or you make break a pole.

5.
Snug up the outside straps. Make
sure all side material covers the truck bedsides to prevent rain from
entering the tent. Check the front corner straps and adjust.

6. Position the rain fly over the tent matching the front cab access sleeve from
both the tent and rain fly. Attach
and adjust the buckles as necessary. Use of rain fly is optional.

8.
When done camping, fold your clean & dry truck tent and put it into the
easy loading storage bag.

9.
Do not drive with the tent set up on your vehicle.
Read and observe caution tag inside the tent.

10. Pictured above awning accessory
that can be attached over the tent door. Use the alligator clips
to attach awning to the rear most tent pole. We don't include tent poles
due to the length and shipping. You can use sticks, a tree branch, or
simply pick up tent poles at any camping or army surplus store. Camp-Right
awning has grommets in each corner for a pole pike. Also included two
guide lines with adjustors.

11. Pictured above Camp-Right
awning can be attached as side vestibule to protect gear or pets.
You can also use the Awning accessory as a gear cover in the rain or clip it
inside the tent and use as a tent floor. We're sure there are 101 uses be
we can only think of 5-6 right now.
