CAR TOP CARRIER RENTAL AGREEMENT
RENTAL FEE: PackRight car top carrier and 4 mounting straps: $5.95 per day - 7 day minimum charge. Non-skid Protection Pads and
Car Clip Strap Sets (for vehicles without luggage racks): $1 per day (for one or
both). Locks and liners are available for purchase only.
Rental charges start the day we ship out and end the day the car top carrier is
received back, weekends and holidays included.
We deduct the total number of shipping days (UPS shipping days found on
the
shipping
map, both to you and back to us) from the total so that you are only paying for your time using the roof bag.
HOW
TO RENT: Select the car top carrier that you prefer from the pull down menu above, press the "Add to Cart"
button, and then follow the steps below:
1. If you want to add any accessory items, press "continue shopping", and you will be sent back to this
page.
2. When you are finished entering items, proceed through check out, entering your address, selecting the shipping
method, and entering your credit card information.
3. In the 'comments section' (big white box on the last check out
page), please type the date you want the carrier to arrive: Monday-Friday.
We will time the shipment to arrive one day before your needed date. You
can use the extra day to load your car top carrier and practice strapping it on your
vehicle. If no instructions are given, we will ship the rental car top
carrier out immediately.
4. At check out, you pay the full cost of the carrier and accessories.
No additional deposits are charged. Once the gear is
returned, we will calculate the rental fee and issue a credit back to your
credit card for the difference. Shipping costs are not refunded.
Be sure to calculate your rental rate vs. the purchase
price before you send the carrier back. There will be no credit
due if your rental fee is above the purchase price. Just keep the gear and there will be NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS: You
will be shipped a new or previously rented car top
carrier in good condition. Lakeland Gear Inc. is not liable
for your use of the car top carrier. You are responsible to read the
directions and refer to our web site for complete packing and strapping
instructions.
Deliveries are not made on Saturday
or Sunday. Warranty on purchased rental bags is limited to 90 days, repair
only. All car carriers and accessories must be returned clean, folded,
and completely dry. A fee will be charged for any missing items. If the carrier
has been ripped, misused, or damaged,
no credit may be issued.
RETURN PROCEDURE: Send the gear to the address we provide
on the rental instruction sheet. We recommend tracking the package. Ship any method you prefer: UPS,
FEDEX, or US Post Office.
