The Explorer series have been aerodynamically designed and share the following features: Gray top and Black bottom. Manufactured in High Density Polyethlene (HDPE). Convenient side opening for easy access. Security features include high quality stainless steel locks. Spring loaded hinges to hold top when loading and unloading. Water resistant gasket. A load capacity of up to 100 lbs evenly distributed.

Karrite U bolt set is included to secure this box to your car factory or sport cross bars. NOTE: If your vehicle only has raised side rails, you can set this box directly on roof and order LakelandGear roof pad and straps for alternative attachment method. See optional items below.

Note from LakelandGear. This is one of our top selling boxes. If you don't have cross bars, buy the roof protection pad and the set of StrapRight straps. Place the cargo box on the pad on the vehicle roof. Attach StrapRight straps to your side rails and strap over the box. Use all four sets of straps. Test this set up before you travel. This is secondary recommendation if you don't have cross bars.
