The PackRight Classic Car Top Carrier from Rightline Gear is the only fully size-adjustable Rooftop Bag.

This cartop luggage carrier adjusts in size from 4 to 16 cu ft.  Its patented design closes like a white water rafting bag to keep water out.  The Classic Roof Top Bag is the ONLY car top cargo bag with sizing that can change along with your load (US Patent 6,257,470). 

For years, the Classic Roof Bag has been the work horse of all the luggage bags. It is constructed of 600D thick Hydrotuff material, a UV resistant, waterproof PVC backed polyester.  The bag end closes with Velcro, rolls up like a bag of potato chips, and buckle locks with a fold and bend closing system-simple as that.  Sewn in loops accommodate a PackRight Security Cable Lock. 

The Classic Carrier can be used on vehicles with or without roof racks. 

For Vehicles Without Roof Racks, You Have Two Choices:

1.  Run the included StrapRight Straps over the car carrier, through the open vehicle door, across the inside roof and around to the other side. See the Classic Car Top Carrier Set Up Guide to lean more.

I probably put these bags through more of a test than anyone, ever... I bought 2 of them and took them loaded to the max across the country on 2 cars in order to help move my stuff, and I have NO complaints.First of all they are EASY to attach to the car. I bought the extra strap set for attaching them to a car without cartop racks and it was very simple. I had serious doubts of how securely they would hold to the car. I also had doubts about how well they would keep my stuff dry. I have to say that having used them, I have put all doubts to rest. They hold very solidly to the car. We never had any problems with shifting or moving. They kept our stuff dry even through heavy rains. A small amount of moisture might have seeped in through the zipper during one downpour, but overall I am very impressed on how water resistant they are. We didn't buy the optional waterproof inner bag thing.The only thing I would warn you about is be careful not to scratch the top of your car by moving the loaded bags around (if they are dirty on the bottom). Also its best if your car is a 4-door, so the straps can be attached in the front and back, although I made these trips with a 2-door civic, and just ran the back straps to the trunk, and had no problems (although it was less than reassuring).The details:I have made several loooong trips recently on highways across the country, up and down mountains, and to speeds up 85 mph:2,750 miles on a Honda Civic, rn2,750 miles on a VW Golf 2,100 miles on a VW Golf The bags performed flawlessly on all trips. All around a fantastic product. I cannot say enough about it.
