Shipping Policy

 

 
Lakeland Gear Inc. ships your packages fast, accurately, and at a fair price. All of our products are in stock and usually ship the same or the next day as your order, M-F. CampRight and PackRight products are shipped from Asheville, NC. The above chart shows ground UPS shipping from Asheville to the rest of the country. Many of our other products are shipped from remote warehouses located in different time zones across the US. When placing your order, please leave us your daytime phone number so that we can reach you if necessary. Please note: We do not process or ship orders on Saturdays and Sundays. When placing your order, please enter a physical address as UPS is unable to deliver to a Post Office (PO) Box. 

To Calculate Your Shipping Costs: 1. Put your products into the shopping cart. 2. Enter your address and select preferred shipping method. 3. Click the 'continue' button and you will see the calculated shipping cost. You will not be under any obligation to buy, nor asked for your credit card information at this point in the ordering process.

Shipping Notification and Tracking: You will receive three emails when you order: the first confirms your order, the second confirms your payment has been processed, and the third confirms the product has been processed for shipping and provides a tracking number. If you receive a tracking message "ok warehouse", it means that your order has been prepared for shipping or shipped but no tracking number was available at that time. Check the status of your package(s) by inserting the tracking number at www.ups.com.

Express Shipping Options:  We ship via UPS and USPS. Ground service will take between 1 and 8 business days to reach you, depending on the distance between your location and our warehouse. The shipping cost depends on the package size, weight, and the shipping option chosen. We offer overnight, 2 day, and 3 day express shipping. If you are ordering in the afternoon eastern time and it is critical that you receive your package by a certain date, please contact us for confirmation. 

Large Items Shipped by Commercial Truck Lines:  Most of our car top cargo boxes can only be shipped by commercial truck line and, therefore, do not have express shipping options. The commercial truck line will call you to schedule a delivery. If you refuse or miss a scheduled delivery by a commercial truck line, you will be liable for the outgoing and return shipping charges in addition to a 25% restocking fee. We also strongly recommend that you inspect your box and product while the driver is still on your property. A shipping claim is extremely difficult to file if the driver himself has not acknowledged the reported damage.

International Customers: Lakeland Gear Inc. will ship products outside of the Continental United States. Please contact us directly to determine shipping costs and other details. Orders from Canada, Mexico, APO/FPO, Alaska and Hawaii can be shipped via United States Postal Service. 2 day express service may be required for Alaska and Hawaii orders shipped by UPS.

Out of Stock and Back-Ordered Items:  While we make every effort to have featured merchandise in stock, occasionally, we run out of certain products. If you place an order for a product that is back-ordered, we will contact you to propose a solution, give you a time expectation, and possibly recommend an equivalent product that may work for you instead.

Problems in Shipping:  If UPS makes a change to the address that you provide us, they charge an additional fee. In placing an order with us, you are agreeing to be billed this same amount as a secondary charge at a later date without notification. Please make sure you enter your correct address initially with apartment or unit numbers specified. We will take full responsibility if we make a mistake in order address entry. Refunds are not possible if the shipper makes a mistake. 

UPS guarantees that your package will reach its destination in accordance with your the selected service. If UPS misses their date, they will refund your shipping charge in full. LakelandGear Inc. is not able to guarantee UPS delivery times. Orders cancelled because UPS did not meet their advertised delivery will be charged all shipping costs and possibly, a restocking fee.

If your package is damaged in shipment, you must be the one to file a claim with UPS 800-463-3339. We will be happy to assist wherever possible.
